Vigor Renewables drive ahead with 40 Windcrofts

Whilst the government has announced an impending review on larger scale solar PV developments and Feed-in Tariffs in general, one company continues to find enthusiasm among rural communities throughout the UK for small-scale wind partnerships.

As development starts on the UK’s first Windcroftstm in Scotland, Oliver Hughes, CEO of Vigor Renewables said "Windcrofting is enabling smaller scale landowners and farmers to really benefit from renewable power generation and the Feed-in Tariff incentive. Low environmental impact and community benefit has always been at the heart of the renewable energy projects which Vigor develops. Specifically, Windcrofting provides farmers and landowners with a low cost, minimal impact, long term benefit to themselves whilst helping to meet the country’s targets for renewable energy power generation.

The small Proven Energy turbines used in a Windcroft quickly allay the concerns which people living in rural communities have about large-scale wind farms. We are already finding that one development often leads to another in nearby communities."

Vigor Renewables remains committed to facilitating and enabling small and medium sized individual landowners and businesses to benefit from renewable energy power generation and the Feed-in Tariff scheme.
