North Shropshire College (NSC) is seeking new full and part-time Agricultural Instructors to join its Agricultural Department at the College’s Walford Campus. The new instructors will be joining a department that has seen a great increase in students over the past five years and will be working at a Campus that has had over £10 million invested in its infrastructure over the past 10 years. The Walford Campus has seen many new developments over the past three years, such as the opening of the R D Park Dairy and the redevelopment of redundant barns into modern classrooms and teaching areas.
The overall increase in Agricultural students in the 2015/2016 Academic Year has reached in excess of 150 full-time students and over 50 trainees, which is record-breaking for NSC.
The College is looking for instructors to come from a range of agricultural disciplines, for example; livestock, machinery operations and servicing, and estate skills. If you are interested in becoming an Agriculture Instructor or want to find out more, the College is holding an information evening on Tuesday 25th August at 7pm at the Walford Campus.
Chris Jones, Director of NSC’s Walford Campus commented ‘I am really pleased with the amount of applications we are receiving from students within our Agriculture Department, it really does emphasise the fantastic learning experience they have at Walford.’
