Staffordshire Young Farmers Clubs (YFC) are shaking up the Staffordshire County Show this year, in their attempt to set a Guinness World Record making the World’s Largest Milk Shake.
This will be held on the afternoon of Wednesday 1 June, at the Staffordshire YFC marquee erected adjacent to their YFC Office on the County Showground.
The milkshake will be freshly made live at the Staffordshire County Show and shall contain 900 litres of locally sourced milk, kindly donated by Wells Farm Dairy; 50 litres of strawberry ice-cream kindly donated by Red Lion Ice-cream and a selection of summer fruit berries.
The idea is the brainchild of Abbotsholme YFC, based at Abbotsholme School, Near Rocester where the young club meet every Tuesday after school.
The members wanted to break a Guinness World Record this year to help raise the profile of Staffordshire YFC.
Staffordshire YFC County Chairman, Emma Stubbs said: "This record attempt highlights how delicious a milk drink can be and supports the Dairy industry which is currently facing many challenges.
"The idea of the creating the world’s largest milkshake seemed perfect and we are so pleased with how much support we have already received from local companies."
To be involved, Staffordshire YFC are asking as many people as possible at the show to head to the YFC marquee on Wednesday 1 June from 13:00 as there will be delicious free milkshakes for everyone after the challenge is complete.
