Latest Knight sprayer developments at Lamma 2007

Knight Farm Machinery is showing the latest versions of its high-capacity sprayers in trailed, self-propelled and de-mount versions at LAMMA 2007 in January.

The 1830 and 1835 self-propelled sprayers, which won a Silver Medal at last year's Royal Show, are now available with Poclain Smart Drive automatic transmission and four-wheel dynamic braking. Powered by 175hp engines with electronic emission control, they can be fitted with 3000 or 3500 litre tanks and booms up to 36 metres wide. Internal and external control panels and the driver's joystick interact with full logic, so all functions can be controlled from all positions.

For customers requiring the biggest capacities, Knight has developed two models for mounting on a 225hp Challenger 618 vehicle with either 4000 or 5000 litre stainless steel tanks. The company is the preferred sprayer partner for this vehicle.

Knight's EUA steering-axle trailed sprayer at LAMMA will have advanced digital control through a Müller Elektronik system, which gives operators control of all sprayer functions, including automatic boom levelling, through a single compact terminal and a joystick.

On all the sprayers, as an alternative to LASER sprayline agitation, Knight is now offering its MAXImiser system to further reduce chemical retention in the spraylines and reduce washing-out time. It also allows two sets of nozzles to be fitted on one sprayline for activation singly or together.
