The award-winning Lake District Cheese Company range has moved into convenient zip re-closable packaging.
The new packs will hit the shelves in Tesco, ASDA, Somerfield, Waitrose and Booths stores across the North of England during March.
The Lake District Cheese Company is the latest successful brand from dairy co-operative First Milk to switch to zip-lock packaging. Scottish Pride and Pembrokeshire Cheese Company made the move late last year.
Richard Hollingdale, sales and marketing director for First Milk’s cheese division, commented: "While consumers shopping for cheese consider design, price and taste before making their purchase, packaging is becoming increasingly important as shoppers look for more value.
"Our convenient re-closable format hits the spot as people aim to reduce food waste and eliminate the need for re-packaging at home."
