A comprehensive range of over 30 new pig feeders has been introduced by Suffolk-based equipment company, G E Baker Ltd (Quality Equipment).
This includes the Tubo weaner feeder, suitable for up to 50 pigs from 7kg to 45kg. It has a stainless steel frame, feed flow adjustment and is available with either a round or oblong polymer concrete trough with separate drinking compartments. A twin version to feed more piglets is also available.
The choice of plastic ad lib hoppers for sows, piglets, growers and finishers provides a feeder for virtually every situation, says the company. Made from 10mm high-density polypropylene — thicker than many other feeders — and reinforced with stainless steel, the feeders are particularly robust, ensuring many years use..
Models include single-space feeders and feeders with divided troughs with up to seven compartments, also available in double-sided versions. Feed-flow control mechanisms are fitted as standard enabling them to be used for both meal and pellets. The feeders can cope with between 20 and 70 weaners or 10 to 50 finishers.
Full stainless-steel trough dividers are optional as are stainless steel troughs. Wet-and-dry versions are available. If required, the drinking trough can be provided in the centre with dry feed either side.
