To celebrate its T7070 Auto Command™ winning the prestigious 2010 Tractor of the Year® as well as the Golden Tractor for Design award, New Holland has launched two special edition "Blue Power" tractors.
The uniqueness of these special "Blue Power" T7070 Auto Command and T7060 Power Command tractors is visually obvious by the bodywork being painted in the strikingly different, one-off colour of Maserati blue. There’s also some silver and chrome styling additions to make the "Blue Power" tractors extra special.
The paint finish is not all that the "Blue Power" tractors have common with a Maserati. Both products utilise the same ’Skyhook’ active suspension technology, both have excellent power to weight ratios and, as with any luxury vehicle, a leather seat package is available.
Both models are available fully equipped including SideWinder™ II armrest, front lift, IntelliView III screen and ready to accept IntelliSteer auto guidance and front linkage. AutoCommand™ is New Holland’s easy-to-use continuously variable transmission (CVT) offering smooth speed increase control. The Power Command gives the best-in-class full powershift transmission with the smoothest gear shifts and adaptive auto modes.
Both awards acknowledge the brand’s commitment to offering its customers the best technology and solutions for easier and more productive farming. The Golden Tractor for Design award recognised New Holland’s design excellence, particularly on the SideWinder™ II armrest with its intuitive controls, focussing on ease of use and operator comfort. This new console includes the CommandGrip™ control lever and the IntelliView™ III touch screen monitor, which is the first one on the market to integrate tractor and implement controls, as well as those associated with the IntelliSteer™ automatic guidance systems. The introduction of these controls is a direct result of communication with and feedback from New Holland customers.
This pair of awards was also given to another New Holland T7000 tractor - the T7060 Power CommandTM - at Agritechnica in 2008, after being judged by a jury of 20 European journalists. The jury’s decision was later reinforced by customers who opted for the T7000 full powershift transmission, still the only one offered in the market in this class of tractor, and for the cab with the lowest noise level and best visibility.
These latest recognitions make the T7000 Series the range of tractors that has achieved the most top positions in the Tractor of the Year award 13 year history.
On the T7000 Series, New Holland is working with Fiat Powertrain Technologies (FPT) for the engine, Bosch-Rexroth to deliver the power-split for the continuously variable transmission and SKF as the supplier of the electronic parking brake.
