An artist has decorated a tractor with poppies she had shaped and painted herself, in time for Remembrance Weekend.
Caroline Jones, from Widnes in Cheshire, is currently decorating a Nuffield Tractor to remember those who served during the first and second world wars, and in particular for the Women’s Land Army.
The 49-year-old artist has been busy working on the poppy project for weeks. She plans to finish her artwork just in time for Remembrance Weekend.
On her post on Facebook, Ms Jones said: "In support of our British soldiers please remember the importance of the Poppy and why it's so important for us to buy one, not just to show support but for all the the wonderful things the money goes to.
"It helps support soldiers with life changing injuries, help with re-homing homeless soldiers and with mental health issues.
"The poppies are very important part of our war history, it's like you're holding a part of history in your hands when you buy one."
Ms Jones said without the Women's Land Army looking after British farms in World War 1 and 2, ordinary Brits would not have been able to eat because farms wouldn't be producing the food without protection.
"The Land Army was first put in place to help and support our farmers, as all the men that were able to fight in the war had to sign up and leave the farms.
"They were then struggling with producing food and doing farm work... so the first women's land army started in 1917 and then again in 1939.
"So here is my support to our Land Army girls and also support to help the heroes."
