Argentina-Drought conditions esculate.

ARGENTINA.

DROUGHT ESCULATES.

The National Agricultural Emergency committee, is scheduled to meet on Tuesday to discuss the problems affecting the rural sector, as several provinces are suffering the worse drought in the history of Argentina.

Farm leaders on Sunday urged the national government to respond to the crisis and farmers assemblies are scheduled to take place this week in Buenos Aires.

Hugo Biolcati, chairman of the SRA Rural Society said, " The government lacks the will to solve the problem that farmers are facing across the country which have been hit by the drought, which has led to the loss of crops and the death of cattle. Don’t use political patronage with us that will not work as you cannot buy the farmers even if their situation is desperate, the only thing we accept is the government listens to our legitimate leaders".

The Agricultural minister Carlos Cheppi summoned members of the central bank and the government weather bureau to his office on Monday.
