A small collection of four stationary engines will be going under the hammer at a leading Shropshire fine art auction house on Thursday.
The engines, which are expected to sell for up to £200 each, have been consigned to the weekly general auction at Halls in Shrewsbury from a local house clearance.
"We are anticipating a lot of interest in these engines from collectors both in Shropshire and much farther afield," said William Lacey from Halls.
The engines, which date from the 1940s, include a Petter Junior, two Ruston and Hornsby and a Lister together with a wide selection of woodworking and metalworking tools.
Halls’ Frankwell saleroom at the Welsh Bridge will be open for viewing from 2pm to 5pm on Wednesday and from 9am on Thursday, with the auction starting at 2pm.
