Following the launch of the four-model T8000 tractor range in 2005, New Holland has expanded its offering with a new range-topping T8050 model, which builds upon the already impressive specification of the T8000 Series.
Power growth
The 325hp (239kW) T8050 model is powered by a New Holland 9 litre, 24-valve, common rail injection diesel engine featuring redesigned pistons and fuel injectors to offer increased power, better fuel economy and lower emissions. The Tier III compliant engine has a reversible cooling fan as standard, available as an option across the T8000 range, to maximise performance. A 56% torque rise and 34hp power growth sees the power curve top out at 359 hp ensuring the T8050 tractor has power in reserve. An efficient straight line PTO drive allows the most power hungry implements to be operated with confidence.
T8050 operators benefit from a 19x4 50kph Ultra Command™ transmission that gives smooth, clutchless gear changes from first to nineteenth gear. The full powershift transmits all the potential of the 9.0 litre engine to the wheels with the minimum of power loss and two fully locking differentials ensure the traction. The 50 kph transmission is packaged with an improved TerraGlide™ front axle suspension, which provides superior ride, control, and traction. A trailer air brake circuit is also standard equipment to help ensure safe high speed braking.
High flow hydraulics
All the T8000 Series boast an efficient Closed Centre Load Sensing (CCLS) high performance hydraulic system with 166 litres per minute as standard. The T8050 features a category IV/III three point linkage and up to five electo-hydraulic remotes.
Stress-free control centre
The T8050 tractor is aimed at the contractor and large scale farmer market and the spacious, luxury cab features the innovative productivity tools common to the T8000 Series. The standard IntelliView II monitor forms part of the operator's armrest control console and is linked into the tractor's CAN BUS system. IntelliView II can store three point linkage settings, transmission settings, Headland Turn Sequences, Auto PTO information and provides comprehensive fuel usage information. Ideal tractor settings are quickly recalled when implements are changed, there's no need to reset individual functions. The IntelliVew II screen can be used to control and monitor systems on compatible implements via an ISOBUS connection.
The T8050 can be ordered with factory installed IntelliSteer system, enabling customers to specify the fully auto-guiding steering system as part of New Holland's Precision Land Management (PLM) system.
The IntelliSteer steering assistant connects to the tractor's hydraulic power steering system and uses a Differential GPS (DGPS) signal to control the steering, ensuring the pattern is followed without requiring steering input from the driver, whether working in a straight line, on curves, pivots or across undulating ground.
