The contract to maintain and curate the National Fruit Collections, at Brogdale, is being put out to tender.
The Collections conserve the genetic diversity present in cultivated temperate fruit and is of major scientific, horticultural and historic importance.
The specification for the tender will be issued early in the New Year and will be available on the Defra science website at http://www.defra.gov.uk/science/funding/competitions.htm.
