Heptavac-P Plus replacement pack launched

Intervet has launched a replacement ewe vaccination pack for its popular pasteurella and clostridial vaccine, Heptavac-P Plus®. The pack contains 4 x 100ml bottles of product, which is the amount needed to vaccinate 100 ewes with their two doses 4-6 weeks apart. Also contained in the pack is a vaccination gun, which delivers accurate 2ml doses, conveniently and with the minimum of effort.

The idea behind the initiative is, says Intervet's Ian Anderson, to make it easier for farmers to vaccinate replacements this autumn. Too often, farmers either fail to realise the overall financial impact clostridial diseases and pasteurellosis can have, or the importance of giving two shots of vaccine to adequately immunise bought-in stock. The fact that each of the 100ml bottles in the pack contains 50 individual doses, also means that most farmers will not have to discard leftover vaccine in partly used bottles, or be tempted to use it next time around.

The new multi-pack will strongly promote the two-dose message, and is launched on the back of the huge demand for the 500-lamb Ovivac-P Plus® pack earlier this year.
