First Milk have reduced their May milk prices to members by between 0.10ppl and 0.35ppl.
Clive Sharpe, First Milk chairman commented: “After total increases of 10ppl since last summer, it is disappointing to have to reduce our milk price.
“However, consistent with our business operating model, we will continue to pay a milk price that relates to our returns.”
Numerous other dairy organisations, such as Dairy Crest, Arla, Barber's and Meadow Foods, have all decreased or unchanged their milk prices for May.
In March, First Milk announced Shelagh Hancock as the company's new CEO after Mike Gallacher stepped down.
