Farmers look after the plains of Cheshire, hills of the Lake District and the beautiful Trough of Bowland - areas of outstanding natural beauty they'd like you to visit on Sunday 10 June.
Approximately 30 North West farms are supporting Open Farm Sunday on 10 June by inviting people to come into the countryside and find out how farming works.
You could visit a farm in Cheshire and taste local cheeses, you could learn all about agricultural machinery at a farm on the Wirral or see spring lambs in Cumbria.
Open Farm Sunday is a national initiative organised by LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming) and actively supported by the NFU. Information on the NFU's Why Farming Matters campaign will be available at participating farms.
NFU North West's Public Relations Officer, Carl Hudspith, said: "Farming touches almost every aspect of our lives in such everyday ways we don't always think about.
"Farming affects us all in a fundamental way. It contributes to the wealth of the North West, is a major employer, it produces much of our food, it shapes our environment and contributes to our health and well being.
"Open Farm Sunday is a great opportunity for you to get out into the countryside, have fun and get involved with farming. Farming matters to all of us."
