A 58 year-old farm worker has died following an accident on a farm in Marsden, West Yorkshire.
Father-of-three Richard Bray is believed to have died on farmland on Netherwood Lane.
West Yorkshire police said they were called to a report of a work-related death on Thursday afternoon.
"Enquires are ongoing to establish the circumstances," a spokesman said.
"A 58-year-old man suffered serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene."
Mr Bray's sister-in-law Rachael Staite told the Huddersfield Examiner: "There was a power cut in Marsden at around 1.52pm yesterday and then Richard was found in his tractor shortly after 4pm.
"He had suffered very severe burns from the waist down," she said.
"Richard was a very sensible guy who knew about electricity so someone has to be held accountable for this."
Three recent accidents involving older farmers and agricultural workers has spurred on the National Farmers' Union to highlight the importance of safety to those in the industry.
