Farm Consultant - Norwich

Based out of our client's Norwich office, your focus areas will include:

  • Overseeing and managing Contract Farming Agreements

  • Providing advice on farm business structures

  • Implementing and managing Agri-environment schemes

  • Sourcing and applying for grant funding

  • Developing business plans

  • Analysing accounts and compiling budgets and cashflows

  • Supporting business development initiatives and tenders, targeting and winning new business, and agreeing on the scope of instructions and fees as appropriate

  • Participating in business development opportunities at office, regional, and UK level

  • What do I need?

    The ideal candidate will have:

  • Good working knowledge of and previous experince advising farm business operations in the UK

  • Understanding of banking and finance structures

  • A network of professional contacts and potential clients

  • Basic practical UK farm management skills

  • Confidence in presenting and public speaking

  • Self-motivation and a goal-driven attitude, with the ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and meet deadlines

  • Clear and logical working style, with good organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Team player who builds relationships and consults with others, quickly establishing trust and credibility

  • Diplomatic and confident with a positive outlook

  • Ability to deliver high performance in terms of client service and compliance

  • Driver's licence and own car (essential)

  • Qualifications such as BASIS, FACTS, IAGRM, BIAC, FAAV, or CEnv would be advantageous but not essential.
