Type ‘C’ all round leg protection preferred, chainsaw protective gloves, chainsaw helmet complete with ear defenders and eye protection. Helmets must be ‘forestry type’ NOT tree climbing style, non-snag outer clothing.Chainsaw with maximum 16 inch bar: meeting current legal HSE requirements, in good working order, along with user manualChainsaw Tool Kit: Comprising of, round file of the correct size for chainsaw, file holder correct for chainsaw, file handle, small flat file with file handle, bar clearing tool, depth gauge correct for chainsaw, box spanner correct for saw, grease gun, small screw driver, measuring callipers / sprung dividers, mixed petrol at correct mix ratio, chainsaw lubrication oil for bar – non fling. Preferably vegetable oil basedFirst aid kit: including large wound dressingsAssessmentsThe course can be run and assessed as a LANTRA course (ITA) or can be run as a LANTRA course and assessed by NPTC (City & Guilds)If the course is assessed by NPTC then this will be done at a later date following your training.You will need to fill in a NPTC registration form.
