Course overview
360° excavators are widely used throughout the land-based and construction industry, and are so named as they have the ability to revolve a full 360 degrees. They are versatile machines that can be used for a variety of different jobs, and in order that they operate efficiently and safely, the correct training is required.Our excavator 360° above 10 tonnes (tracked), integrated training and assessment course runs for five days, and our experienced instructors will guide you through the training to ensure you learn the key fundamentals of operating the 360° above 10 tonnes (tracked) excavator. Once you have completed and passed the course you will receive a certificate in training for Excavator 360° above 10 tonnes (tracked).Who is it for?Our course is for anyone who uses or will be using a tracked 360° excavator above 10 tonnes in either the land-based or construction industry. The course will allow you to develop the skills and knowledge required in order to operate the machine safely and confidently.What will you get from it?• Identify the basic construction and components, and the purpose and use of all controls and gauges.• Identify and comply with manufacturers’ instructions in accordance with the operator’s handbook, other information sources and applicable legislation.• Carry out all pre-use and running checks.• Configure the excavator for site travel.• Travel the machine over varying types of terrain including rough undulating ground and substantial inclines.• Manoeuvre the excavator in confined areas.• Set the machine to excavate.• Excavate below ground level on a variety of excavations in different ground types.• Place spoil into various sizes of vehicles/hoppers.• Grade, spread and level different types of terrain.• Remove and re-attach buckets.• Place the machine in an out-of service condition.• Explain the loading and unloading procedures on and off a transporter.
