Tatchbury Manor Farm Shop

Has been farmed by the Hunt family for 3 generations and continues the tradition with Roy Hunt who remains farming pigs, cattle and poultry today.

In years gone by the farm was home to a milking herd and produced all,the fodder needed, the family years ago would take the grains to Eling Tide Mill by horse and cart to be milled, a job that could take up to a day to do according to the tides and milling times. There are still signs of the old farm including the Granary where you can see the horseshoes hung within the wooden slats along with the old barn that was right next to the house years ago.

Over 20 years ago the old thatched farmhouse which housed a bakers oven and place for the old copper, burnt to the ground and was replaced by the bungalow you see today, the old well is still outside, but not used now!
