The sheep and cattle on the farm are fed a mainly herb rich grass based diet supplemented with home grown cereals and are slaughtered 5miles away at a small family run slaughter house / butcher in Swadlincote.
The meat is of exceptional quality with good texture and taste and has won awards for its beef and lamb from the National Trust Fine Food. The farm was also part of the filming for the BBC’s Countryfile in 2008 when they followed the life on a country estate for a year.
