We have a wonderful selection of tasty farmhouse fayre to offer in the farm shop, and a wide variety of fresh herbs in our herb centre.
FARMHOUSE COOKING: Our talented chefs cook delicious ranges of pies, quiches and ready meals, as well as chutneys, preserves and cakes. Traditional family recipes are followed using only natural ingredients to produce flavour-packed delights for any mealtime. How about a Steak & Guinness pie for a mid-week supper? A slice of Victorian Sponge for afternoon tea? Or a jar of Raspberry Jam for your scones? Matured, rich fruit cakes in all sizes are available for weddings and parties.
MEAT: We stock high quality cuts of beef, lamb and pork from selected local farms. Most of our meat prices are displayed per kilo, with the exception of steaks which are individually priced.
SAUSAGES & BURGERS: We make our own sausages and burgers using only natural ingredients. They are gluten-free and delicious on a barbecue.
BACON & HAM: The ham, bacon, gammon and black pudding comes from RB Woodall in Cumbria whose recipes date back eight generations. They began with Hannah Jackson Woodall in 1828 and at present the 7th, 8th and 9th generations are in the business. http://www.rbwoodall.com/
WILD GAME: We have an extensive range of wild local game that changes from season to season. Choose from venison, duck, pheasant, rabbit, pigeon and partridge. Mallard, hare, teal and woodcock are often available too.
FREE-RANGE POULTRY: Our chicken comes from local farms such as James Evans' Pastures Farm in Yardley Hastings. Our cousin raises Norfolk Bronze turkeys, cockerels and geese, which are perfect for Christmas dinner.
FREE-RANGE EGGS: Gathered daily from our laying hens and turkeys. Organic eggs are also available from time to time.
