Lizzy opened their award winning farm shop in her little larder in 2002. The business has steadily grown and her new shop at Blackberry Farm is surrounded by farmland and has stunning views of Dartmoor. She also conducts farm tours and visits local schools to help children learn about the relationship between farming and food.
Blackberry farm is a family run business. The farm supports a small herd of commercial beef cattle and a mixed flock of sheep which include Romneys, Texels and Cheviots. Lizzy has a passion for horses and in her spare time can be found riding on the local beach or driving her Friesian horse. Mike shows his commercial beef cattle and has won many great accolades including the Queen Mothers cup at Smithfield. He spends much of his free time restoring vintage tractors. Their daughter Kaya is currently studying but is an excellent cake baker and enjoys experimenting with dairy free sweet treats.
