Same Deutz-Fahr has appointed two new dealers both of which are well established companies making a major contribution to the areas they serve.
Somerset-based Bigwood and Partners and Cumbria’s Taylor & Braithwaite will be marketing the Deutz-Fahr brand – a range of tractors which offers models from 30hp to 300hp.
Commenting on the new appointments, Same Deutz-Fahr’s CEO, Mark Casement says he is delighted that well established, highly professional, customer service oriented dealers are adding to SDF’s network.
"But this is only the start of what we plan to put in place over future months," he insists. "We look forward to announcing further network improvements in the near future, as we look to grow our UK business in 2012 and beyond.
"Same Deutz-Fahr has excellent products, with exciting new ranges in the pipeline and can offer our dealers, and their customers, high-performing tractors and combine harvesters, underpinned by excellent reliability and economy of operation."
Bigwood and Partners
For Bigwood and Partners, based at Walford Cross, Taunton, Somerset, the new Deutz-Fahr franchise is reported to have been warmly welcomed both by the company’s staff and its customers.
"We have a very mixed farming regime in this area – from fruit growing to large scale arable units – and there is a demand for both small and large tractors and everything in between," comments Managing Director, Keith Bigwood.
"The broad range of tractors offered by Deutz-Fahr, means there is a model available to meet all requirements – including an increasing number equipped with CVT transmissions."
He adds that the build quality and the famed reliability of Deutz-Fahr tractors has been a major factor in his decision making.
Bigwood and Partners will also be marketing the Deutz-Fahr 60 Series combine range which comprises five models from 220hp to 360hp.
Taylor & Braithwaite
Bringing the Deutz-Fahr tractor range to Cumbria and the Dales is Taylor & Braithwaite, a company started over 40 years ago and one which has been at its current site at Dyke Nook, Sandford, Appleby, Cumbria for the last 15 years.
Heading up the company is Sales Director Ian Burton who points out that Deutz-Fahr is a premium brand which has the backing of a major manufacturer.
"When it comes to quality and reliability there is little to compare with the Deutz-Fahr tractor range," he says. The broad power range and transmission options provide our customers with a choice of model to meet their specific requirements."
Based in a predominantly livestock area, Mr Burton comments that he expects the biggest demand will be for mid-range, four cylinder tractors complete with loaders – both of which, he notes, are well provided for in the Deutz-Fahr tractor line-up.
