RoGator 600 has healthiest cab on the market

The Challenger RoGator 600 is the first, and only, farm machine ever to achieve a Category 4 rating for its cab air quality. Passing this strict, independent standard puts the self-propelled sprayer in a class of its own by providing the proven benefit of offering operators the cleanest air quality on the market – bar none.

Further independent proof of the RoGator 600’s exceptional design and quality comes with the publication of an official ENTAM test, in which the machine scores top marks in many categories. This independent test confirms the quality of its design and shows just how the machine’s top technology sets it apart.

"The RoGator 600 Challenger has already set the standard for self-propelled sprayers," says Hubertus von Dungern, Manager Product Marketing Application Equipment. "Now it further raises the bar and extends this lead with the cleanest cab air and top test results."

The EN ISO 15695-1 and EN ISO 15695-2 standards are very tough and difficult to achieve. The cab must be tested and proven to protect operators from dust, aerosols and vapours with an air delivery and filter system.

"We started with the advantage of having the high quality, pressurised cabin from the MT tractor range. We have made few modifications to this apart from sealing the back window and increasing the airflow. Obviously with a sealed and pressurised environment it’s imperative the fan has the capacity to pull in sufficient air and the structure allows it to exit easily."

An important addition to the system is the special filter that cleans the air to the standard demanded for the Category 4 rating. "It is in this crucial area where our engineers have overcome the technical challenge of not only cleaning the air, but using a filter that still provides sufficient airflow," he explains. "Now RoGator 600 operators benefit from breathing the cleanest, freshest air available on any farm machine."

* Category 4: ’Reducing the quantity of dusts, as specified in 3.2 EN 15695-2:2009, aerosols in 3.3 EN 15695-2:2009 and vapours in 3.4 EN 15695-2:2009’.

ENTAM test confirms quality

Operators and owners will gain further assurance about the high quality of the RoGator 600 from the recent ENTAM Test Report (see below).

Challenger is one of just a handful of European makers to subject their machines to this rigorous test. While it is not mandatory, it is based on the CEN standard and provides a comprehensive independent assessment of the machine’s quality, safety and accuracy of operation.

"The test confirms the RoGator 600’s advanced design, with its unique and leading features in every area, delivers the results professional operators require," adds Mr von Dungern. "We have always had the confidence in our work, but we are now proud to say independent tests prove the Challenger RoGator 600 not only offers operators the cleanest air of any machine, but its technical abilities are also independently proven to exceed the demands of the strictest tests."

The ENTAM test shows the benefit of employing advanced features and sector-leading technology in every area – including the unique single beam chassis, with novel hydraulic working height adjustment, side-mounted engine and special sculpted tank design.

Another unique feature is Challenger’s use of a robust boom mounting arm, which is attached to the single beam chassis in front of the rear axle. This is the best position to maintain stability, as proven by the ENTAM test results.

Two new features are being introduced on the RoGator 600 ’B’ models, at the Agritechnica Show in Hanover. The six cylinder models - the 223hp, RG 645 ’B’ and 242hp, RG 655 ’B’ are now equipped with the latest SCR technology, which combines exceptional fuel economy with exhaust emissions that meet the strict Stage 3b regulations.

Also new is the ISOBus compliant C3000 control terminal, which offers easy to use operation and a large, clear screen and provides a wide range of functions including high-accuracy positioning and guidance, auto-section control, variable rate applications combined with detailed mapping, logging and versatile information management.
