Record turnout expected for Dolphin Sheep Fair

The must-see Dolphin Sheep Fair will be taking place at The South of England Centre, Ardingly on Thursday 15th September.

The sale sees farmers come from near and far to stock up on their flocks or to buy their ram from the selection of 5,000/6,000 breeding ewes, store lambs and rams on offer; all of different breeds and varieties.

All the shearling ewes and store lambs are run from their pens into the sale ring located at the north end of the showground, so prospective purchasers can see more clearly what the lots look like.

Sally Rogers, of South East Marts, says "It is a thoroughly enjoyable day and a true delight to see all the sheep penned and sold in one day. We have been running the Dolphin Sheep Fair at the centre for over 25 years and it continues to be the perfect location for farmers and families to make some great purchases and enjoy a fantastic day."

The sale will begin at 10.15am and is held at the north end of the showground, refreshments will be available together with a number of trade stands selling agricultural wares.
