RFS seeks first education officer
The Royal Forestry Society (RFS) is looking to appoint its first-ever dedicated Education Officer to develop formal and informal educational opportunities for all ages, including adults.
The post, initially for a 12 month period, will be based at the RFS headquarters in Tring, Hertfordshire, and candidates should ideally have a degree or diploma in forestry, countryside or allied disciplines and/or a teaching qualification.
The Royal Forestry Society celebrates its 125th anniversary this year. It aims to promote wise management of trees and woodlands. Members include woodland owners, land managers, foresters, students, keen amateurs, arborists, landscapers, timber merchants, ecologists.
