Suffolk-based pig buildings and equipment company, Quality Equipment, has raised £12,810 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance, the charity which provides a helicopter emergency medical service for people in East Anglia.

The company raised this money at various events which took place during 2015 to celebrate its 50th anniversary year and the total exceeded its £10,000 target.

“We are very proud to have raised nearly £13,000 from customers, suppliers, employees, families and friends,” commented Jamie Baker, Quality Equipment’s managing director. “It is especially note-worthy during such a difficult year for pig farmers.”

Quality Equipment chose to support the East Anglian Air Ambulance because it rescued the company’s founder, Glyn Baker, from a life-threatening situation when he had an accident on a farm some years ago.

Patrick Peal, EAAA Chief Executive said: “We are extremely grateful for the support and we would like to say a huge thank you to Quality Equipment for their donations which will allow EAAA to continue its lifesaving work.”
