Prince Charles visits organic farm

The Prince of Wales continued his annual summer tour of the principality with a solo visit to an organic farm.

Looking relaxed and rested after his second night spent at his new west Wales rural retreat, at Myddfai, he toured Bwlchwernen Fawr Farm without the Duchess of Cornwall.

Belonging to Patrick Holden, a long-time friend of the Prince and the director of the Soil Association, the farm nestles among the rolling Welsh hills and has sweeping views of the Cambrian mountains.

As an organic farmer, the Prince took a clear interest in all aspects of the farm, even stopping to inspect a herd of cattle as he arrived in the morning.

He then continued on to a newly-built organic cheese-making facility where he stopped and chatted with a party of local primary school children on a visit of their own.
