New procurement manager appointed by Shropshire based milking equipment manufacturer

Specialist milking equipment manufacturer Fullwood Limited has announced the appointment of a new procurement manager at its production site in Ellesmere, Shropshire.

Gary Stevens has joined Fullwood, which designs and manufactures a range of cow, sheep and goat milking systems, and will take responsibility for running the company’s purchasing department, managing a team of four buyers. Gary will also be responsible for negotiating with Fullwood’s sub-contractors and suppliers and for managing the company’s supplier development programme.

Since being awarded a BA (Hons) degree in Business Studies from John Moores University in Liverpool, Gary has gained a wealth of purchasing and procurement experience both in the UK and overseas. In his most recent role, Gary worked for Bombardier transport where he was the company’s senior buyer and supplier development manager within the rail industry.

"It is an exciting time to be joining the agricultural industry," Gary states. "I am looking forward to working with Fullwood’s suppliers and sub-contractors from across Europe and from as far afield as New Zealand. My main aim is to develop positive and constructive supplier relationships and to drive down purchasing costs in order to maintain production efficiencies across the company’s functions."
