Franco Fusignani, head of New Holland Agriculture, has been in Britain to visit New Holland’s brand new Customer Centre at its manufacturing plant in Basildon.
Mr Fusignani, who was in the UK for three days, joined some of New Holland’s most senior executives from around the world, as well as Dealer Principals from across the company’s extensive UK and Irish Dealer network, on the tour.
The new Customer Centre was officially opened just before Christmas and has been designed to create an impressive 600 square foot entrance to the remarkable New Holland plant. The plant employs more than 1000 staff and produces more than 480 new tractors every week – 92 per cent of which are exported to over 120 countries worldwide.
Previously, the plant received around 2000 visitors every year. With the new facilities in place, that number is expected to rise dramatically.
Visitors will be able to enjoy the new state of the art auditorium before being taken on a tour of the production line. In the future, when phase two of the project is complete, they’ll be able to see, close up, some of the extremely impressive New Holland products in a brand new showroom - three times the size of the striking new Customer Centre entrance hall. The centre also features a display T7 tractor and merchandise shop.
New Holland’s Managing Director, Andrew Watson, said: "We are extremely proud of our new Customer Centre. We are sure our Dealer network will enjoy inviting their customers to take full advantage of this fabulous resource."
Mr Fusignani echoed those sentiments. "New Holland has a global reputation for innovative, agricultural manufacturing," he said. "It’s a reputation that is strengthened by the world class manufacturing carried out here in Basildon and the new Customer Centre is a very worthy, and striking, addition to this highly successful plant."
