NWF Group appoints new Chief Executive

NWF Group plc ("NWF"), the diversified sales and distribution group, announces that as of the 1 October 2007, Richard Whiting, 43, will join the Board of NWF and assume the position of Chief Executive Designate. Current Chief Executive Graham Scott will continue in his capacity until 31 October 2007 and then hand over to Richard.

Richard joins NWF from fully listed Heywood Williams Group plc where he has been Group Finance Director since November 2004. Richard joined Heywood Williams in 2002 as Business Development Director.

Prior to his work at Heywood Williams, Richard held a number of senior roles. From 1988-2002 he was at Novar plc (formerly Caradon plc), working in the building products sector. From 2000-2002 he was Managing Director of the datacom division of Brand-Rex Ltd., one of Europe's leading data communication cabling systems providers.
