Landia’s New Cost-Saving Dry-Pit Slurry Pump installation

For the Pig Industry, Landia’s MPTK Liquid Slurry Pump is very easy to install in a dry pit, available as a complete pump and polyethylene (PE)-pit package.

Compared to a large reception tank, with all of its inherent odour problems, Landia’s cost-saving pump and PE-pit package can be connected directly to a Straight Flush (vacuum evacuation) pig slurry system. With this solution, slurry from different stalls can be led directly to one storage tank, dispensing with the need for a reception pit with mixer, submersible pump and controls.

The PE pit from Landia, which is non-freezing, can also be used to install a booster for pumping over long distances or on rising ground.

The fully integrated dry pit is made of dimensionally stable moulded polyethylene (PE) and is supplied complete with pipes, base plate, vent valves, sluice valves and hinged lid. The pit fits all Landia’s dry-installed MPTK pumps, which are available in 7.5 kW, 11.0 kW and 18.5 kW motor sizes.

Whilst the water-tight PE-pit is ideal for dry pump installation, Landia’s long-lasting MPTK slurry pump is also highly effective in a concrete pit.
