Kuhn issues rotary tedder range for smaller farms

Kuhn has extended the rotary tedder options for smaller operators with the introduction of three value models at the lower end of its Gyrotedder range.

The GF 642 was featured at LAMMA, representing the range of three-point mounted models also including the GF 422 and GF 502. These machines have working widths of 4.20m (4 rotors), 5.00m (4 rotors) and 6.40m (6 rotors) respectively, extending a Gyrotedder range that already includes models with working widths from 5.2 up to 17 metres.

The new 102 series models all feature Kuhn’s patented Digidrive rotor drive and are equipped with an oblique drive function for operating on headlands.

All models are equipped with balloon tyres to ensure good load-bearing capacity and good quality tedding and the rotors each have six tine arms fitted with robust 4-coil tines. The GF 642 is also equipped as standard with a lateral stabiliser, for perfectly controlled work on slopes and bumpy ground.

Extended range of single rotor rakes

Kuhn exhibited the GA 3201 GM at LAMMA as an extension of its established single rotor side delivery Gyrorake range.

This 3.2 metre working width model adds a smaller option to a range already including machines in the 4.1 – 4.5 metre bracket.

Tangential mounted tine arms give this model the optimum tine position for excellent field performance at fast forward speeds, and double curved arms ensure regular, airy and perfectly structured windrows.

Round bale wrapper options from Kuhn

Kuhn used its 2011 LAMMA display to showcase its presence in the round bale wrapper market, featuring the RW 1600 C, which is one of five models currently in Kuhn’s RW (round bale) wrapper range.

The RW 1600 comes with either lever and cable controls (M), computer controls (C) or joystick controls (S). It is one of three trailed self-loading models in the range, alongside the RW 1400 and RW 1800. The RW 1100 and RW 1200 are three-point mounted, the latter having self-loading capability. The RW 1100 is ideal for ’wrap and stack’ operations, with remote control allowing the machine to be operated from a loader tractor and therefore still be a one-man operation.

Advanced technical features incorporated into Kuhn’s RW round bale wrapper range include pre-stretchers, film cutters, wrapping tables and low-profile chassis format, all designed to deliver the simplicity and efficiency required to suit the contractor and large scale farmer markets.
