Hydor appoint new engineer
Agricultural ventilation company Hydor has extended its technical support team with the appointment of Richard Kendall.
Richard joins Hydor as a Mechanical & Electrical Sales Engineer and will be travelling the UK to provide hands-on support for farmers throughout the UK who are running ventilation systems in a wide range of applications.
Richard has experience in electrical engineering, with five years as a Service Engineer with Chloride Motive Power Batteries and, more recently, eight years with Sunseeker International Boats where he was responsible for building engine room electrics on private luxury boats.
Duncan Burl, MD of Hydor, commented – "We have provided a van for Richard, fully equipped with all the tools he will need to service existing ventilation systems and to commission new ones. He already has an excellent grounding in electrics and electronics and he is currently attending a number of technical courses so he can get up-to-speed with our products. I am sure he will prove an invaluable addition to the team."
Commenting on his appointment, Richard said –"the world of luxury yachts may sound glamorous but working on engine rooms meant that I didn’t get the opportunity to interact with customers and that is something that I really miss. I am looking forward to getting out into the market and working directly with farmers to ensure they are optimising the ventilation for their poultry, cattle and pigs."
Richard lives near the Downton Head Offices of Hydor in Wiltshire and will be based here but will spend most of his time travelling throughout the UK in his supporting role.
When he’s not travelling, he hopes to find some time for his hobbies which include football, swimming, squash and badminton, as well as maintaining both his car and motorcycle.
