Horsch has restructured its sales operation, increasing the number of sales regions and taking on two new area sales managers. Martyn Hall will take control of a new central region while John McAuley will manage Horsch’s eastern sales region.

The new central region extends from Lancashire to North Lincolnshire and down to the Home Counties. The eastern region covers East Anglia down to North London.

Martyn comes from a farming background, growing up on arable and livestock farms before joining a large farm contracting business. He then became an arable craftsman on a 3000-acre Lincolnshire farm and got his introduction to Horsch equipment with the farm’s Pronto 6DC and Terrano FG.

“Having seven years of practical on-farm experience was an essential foundation for my sales role,” said Martyn. “As a product specialist, my responsibilities included demonstration, show management, product development as well as exporting to eastern Europe. From this broad experience, I already have a great understanding of Horsch’s products and dealer network and I’m looking forward to working with the dealers to support Horsch customers.”

John grew up on a beef and sheep farm in Coleraine, Northern Ireland and his career has always centred around agriculture. Joining Lely as a demonstrator, John then became an area sales manager covering Ireland before his final role as a product specialist, a move that took him to Huntingdon.

“As I product specialist, I was involved in all aspects of product development, working closely with customers and dealers as well as the engineering teams on a wide range of products, particularly imported cultivation systems. This rounded experience will allow me to offer the best support to Horsch dealers on the brand’s growing range of cultivation equipment and assist customers in getting the very best from their machines.”
