Equine Fair at the Donkey Sanctuary

The Donkey Sanctuary is holding an Equine Fair on Saturday 11th October from 10am to 4pm.

The fair features a packed programme of demonstrations and talks on equine health from vets, massage therapists and other experts and includes treatments on real life donkeys.

A charity auction will offer the chance to bid for amazing auction prizes including horse rugs, stable kit and agricultural goods donated by local businesses. Talks will introduce The Donkey Sanctuary’s work worldwide.

Trade stands on site will be stocking fantastic horsey, donkey and agricultural goods.

Event organiser, Chris Philips, said it was a great opportunity for the equine enthusiast to learn from the experts and to enjoy some fantastic shopping at the same time.

He said: “Don’t miss this chance to enjoy a wide range of demonstrations and talks from the experts complete with a huge range of equestrian and agricultural trade stalls.”

The charity auction takes place at 1pm. Top prizes include a Weatherbeeta rug worth £80 and a smart wheelbarrow worth £70.

Entry is £2. Children under 12 are free. Entry to The Donkey Sanctuary itself is free. Proceeds from the Equine Fair go towards The Donkey Sanctuary’s work worldwide.
