Dairy Crest recalls milk on contamination fears

Dairy Crest Ltd has recalled certain date codes of Morrisons and Supervalu from Budgens Whole British Milk on a precautionary basis, because the products may have become contaminated with cleaning fluid during its production. If you have bought this product with the 'use by' dates shown below, do not consume it. The FSA has issued a Product Recall Information Notice.

Product recall notices will be displayed in Morrisons and Budgens stores, advising consumers of the recall and what they can do if they have bought the affected products.

The specific issue occurred which caused contamination of the milk with cleaning fluids. All the products which were affected have been identified and the relevant customers informed.

Dairy Crest has undertaken a full risk assessment and spoken to the Food Standards Agency (FSA) to ensure all requirements are being followed.

"We advise anyone who has purchased any of the above products not to consume them. Instead, please return to the Morrisons or Budgens store from where you purchased the product for a full refund," the company said.
