At Livestock 2012: Broadwood International
Broadwood International bring Hustler Chainless Balefeeders and SweepEx push brooms to Livestock 2012.
The Livestock Event is Europe's leading event for the livestock sector. It attracts more than 16,000 visitors a year and presents a unique opportunity for farmers, herdsmen, consultants, processors and retailers from all over the world to see the best dairy livestock, equipment, products and services available in the UK market.
Farmers and operators who know the Hustler CH 2000 are in praise of the loading system and the ability to control the bale right through its action.
These chainless feeders are designed to ensure many years of service with low maintenance and the ability to handle virtually any bale.
A compact, single bale feeder, the Chainless 2000 attaches to the tractor on the 3 point linkage and is suitable for small to medium farms. The innovative chain design eliminates troublesome feed chains so there are fewer moving parts.
Safe, simple operation and the minimum of maintenance are the keywords here. The only true square and round balerfeeder on the market, the Chainless range allows you to feed out any bale you have on hand, using feed efficiently by adjusting the amount of feed flow from the cab. The 2000 is self-loading with a very low cradle and no crossbar making bale loading quick and easy.
The SL Balefeeder Range, featuring the SL-350, offers a round balefeeder based on a simple, rugged design, offering farmers an economical option for primarily feeding out round bales.
The SL-350 is a 3 point linkage mounted single balefeeder suitable for all types of round bale, even 5’ long. But the SL feeders are also able to handle square bales due to the standard side bars. Safe and easy to operate with self-loading, single hydraulic function and high bale support, these are built for hard work.
Will SweepEx sweep grain on vented or slatted floors? Will it also sweep slurry or sludge? Will it cope with fine aggregates as well as heavy material? Can I fit a SweepEx to my telehandlers? Questions frequently asked and the answer to all of these is yes. From farmyards to grain stores the versatile SweepEx push broom system saves time and money.
It’s far quicker and more cost effective than hand sweeping. In fact, Broadwood say, one man and a SweepEx will do the work in five minutes of five men sweeping for an hour. The quick hitch allows you to use the SweepEx directly on a telehandler’s back plate, mounting and dismounting it in seconds without leaving the cab. There are no moving parts so it is safe and maintenance free.
There’s no downtime because there are no chains, motors or drive belts to break or falter. The unique bristles, it is claimed, will sweep up to 450 miles before wearing and then it’s just a five minute job to change them. So quickly into the grain store and you can sweep every crevice using the SweepEx mounted on your tractor, skidsteer, forklift or telehandler.
Not only is it fast it will also clear away a whole load of materials you wouldn’t expect, including small rocks, mud, slurry and even snow. What’s more, a solid state magnetic bar attaches easily to the front to ensure removal of nails and other dangerous debris, saving on puncture repairs or tyre replacements.
